ABOUT THE PROGRAM

3D printing is changing the way students learn.

XYZprinting wants to be at the forefront of this change. This year, we are investing US $1 million into our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) 3D Education Program. A 3D printing program that aims to equip K-12 schools across the contiguous U.S. with more than 300 3D printers, and ready-to-teach 3D printing curriculum.

We are accepting applications from schools who want to revolutionize their classrooms with 3D printing. This program has 3 categories of grade levels and schools are encouraged to apply for the category that best suits their needs.

OUR 3D PRINTING CURRICULUM

As more 3D printers make their way into classrooms, we recognized the need for easy and seamless integration of 3D printing into the K-12 curriculum. With our 3D printing curriculum, we’ve designed 40 unique lesson plans that cover different subject areas in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), across 3 groups of grade levels (K-5, Middle school G6-8, and High school G9-12).

READY-MADE FOR EDUCATORS

Our STEAM 3D printing curriculum was developed for educators to bring concepts and theories to life. 3D print molecular structures, functional designs, or the entire solar system in the classroom! Transform traditional STEAM lessons into fun and meaningful 3D printing sessions.

K-5

RACING CAR

Introduce students to the world of gears. Students will work together to plan, design, and 3D print a miniature racing car that uses gears.

Middle school G6-8

CELLS

Bring cell theory lessons to life. Help students visualize and identify organelles in plants and animal cells by 3D printing them in class.

High school G9-12

BRIDGES

Students will learn about bridge systems and engineering concepts before using our CAD 3D modeling software to design and 3D print their own bridge!

PROGRAM APPLICATION

WHO CAN APPLY?

K-12 schools in the contiguous United States. Each school may send one representative to apply for the program.
Each school may only apply to one category (K-5, Middle school G6-8, or High school G9-12) of the STEAM 3D Education Program.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Applications will be reviewed and preference will be given to schools who demonstrate the following in their application

Practical understanding of 3D printing and how it can be used to create engaging K-12 STEAM lessons.
Knowledge of key 3D design principles and CAD 3D modeling software tools.
Originality and creativity for their 3D printing idea.
Willingness and ability to implement 3D printing as part of the school’s instructional strategy.

Schools who are selected for the STEAM 3D Education Program will be notified via email within 30 days of their application.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Schools will receive a redemption code to activate the free one-year online subscription for the STEAM 3D printing curriculum. Further instructions on how to redeem the free 3D printer will be given.

PROGRAM RULES

  • Only one application is allowed per school.
  • By applying for the STEAM 3D Education Program, applicants agree to XYZprinting, Inc.’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
  • Incomplete applications will be automatically disqualified.
  • XYZprinting, Inc. reserves the right to disqualify any schools and suspend or withhold the free XYZprinting STEAM curriculum or 3D printer without prior notice, in the event that schools fail to comply with any program requirements.
  • XYZprinting, Inc. reserves the right to use all or any of the submitted materials received from the 300 selected schools on its official website, social media platforms and press-related materials. All other submitted materials will be deleted from our database.
